FAQs

Common questions.

Our properties are near Santo in Palo Pinto County — less than an hour west of the DFW metroplex, so there's no all-day drive to hunt quality private ground.

Yes. Every hunter needs a valid Texas hunting license. Migratory bird hunts (dove and duck) also require HIP certification, and duck hunters need a Federal Duck Stamp. We're happy to point you to everything you need before your hunt.

A deposit reserves your dates. Should you need to cancel, your deposit is non-refundable; however, you can transfer it to another available date at the outfitter's discretion. We'll make reasonable efforts to find a suitable alternative date, but rescheduling depends on availability.

On hog hunts we offer gun rentals, ammo, and thermal / night-vision rentals. For dove and duck hunts we have a limited number of shotguns available for rental, so just ask when you book. Otherwise, bring your own shotgun and appropriate ammunition (non-toxic shot is required for ducks).

Animal cleaning is included on our deer, duck, and hog hunts. Bring a cooler to get your meat or birds home.

Absolutely. Dove and duck hunts in particular are great for families, first-timers, and youth hunters, and our guides tailor the day to your group.

It varies by hunt — duck hunts run 2–8 hunters, hog hunts 2–5, deer hunts are one-on-one, and dove hunts comfortably handle large parties and corporate outings.

Our hunts are currently run as day trips without on-site lodging. There are plenty of hotels and rentals nearby, and we're glad to point you in the right direction when you book.
